Robin Hodder, the lead guitarist of cult progressive rock band 'Yak' is planning to ride his Yakmobile from Hartlepool to Whitehaven, some 142 miles over the weekend of 24/25th June 2006.
The 'Yakmobile' is actually a 1953 Norman Model C Autocycle, found rusting away in the back of someone's garage.
Robin has spent a considerable time renovating it over the past year or so and has decided to see how much he can raise in sponsorship for the Sanctuary as he completes this epic maiden journey

The 'Yakmobile' has a max speed of between 20 & 30 miles per hour and this very much depends on whether you are going downhill with a following wind or not!
