Sam, Katie and Mutley
Here is Sam on the day he arrived. He had a long car journey from Huddersfield, but he says it was worth it as now he has a safe home where he will be loved.

He is blind and about 17 years old

His full name is Samuel P Wilderbeast

As I type this he is curled up asleep in an armchair !

Katie travelled down with Sam, and has settled in with all the other dogs.

She is very sweet and likes a lot of attention. I don't think she can believe where she is, she keeps looking about like she thinks someone is going to come & put her back in the pound. Poor Katie.

She is about 12 years old

Sam & Katie don't have any sponsors, so if you would like to help them, please sendme a mail.

You can join the Sanctuary from as little as £2 per month & every penny will go towards the feed costs.

Thank you - woof woof !
Here is Mutley who arrived in March 2007

He was a bit shy at first but is a passive dog and has settled in with all the others.

Murphy the Great Dane is always the potential 'issue' when a new dog arrives as he is so big and the last thing I need is a "set to". This is why it is essential I can only take the passive & netuered "oldies" a bill which Mr Mutley fits like a glove.

Mutley has moved in with the Yard gang who sleep in the utility room. He is getting on well & now taking treats. They are usually a bit nervous at first & not sure whether to take the "treat" - but that soon passes
You can be a friend to Mutley, or Sam or Katie - neither of whom have any sponsors yet, from as little as £2 per month & you can come & visit them on the Open Days.

All of the Dogs here have been through some sort of trauma, and we try to ensure that they have a lovely retirement for the Winter months of their lives

Please help me help them
